In leading the regulatory affairs team at the UK’s largest compliance scheme operator, George is very knowledgeable about the UK’s producer responsibility systems. His work to keep over 2000 of Valpak’s packaging scheme members up to date with the latest news regarding resources & waste sector reforms sees him regularly engage externally across industry and government officials on how to achieve a smooth transition to EPR in a way that benefits industry, society and the environment. In 2023, he was shortlisted for Rising Star of the Year at the UK Green Business Awards and be named as one of LetsRecycle’s 35 under 35 in the waste industry for engaging with policymakers and educating industry on the impacts of the packaging EPR.
