Dr. Strite oversees the launch of transformational laser technologies into new applications and markets. He earned his PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1993. His early career focused on the commercialization of diode lasers for fiber optic telecommunications at his postings at IBM Zürich Research Lab and JDS Uniphase. Upon joining IPG in 2014 he undertook various roles while continuing his interest in diode laser technology. That interest culminated with the introduction of the DLS-ECO product which addresses the world’s growing need for cost effective, environmentally friendly drying and curing technology.
