David has been the British Coatings Federation’s Public Affairs Manager since 2020, leading the organisation’s lobbying efforts and helping to communicate and interpret legislation for members.

Before joining the BCF, he spent over two decades working in and around politics at national, regional and local levels. Jobs included Head of Parliamentary Candidates for the Conservative Party in the early years of David Cameron’s leadership, a researcher for MPs in Parliament and for members of the London Assembly, and as a campaigner and lobbyist across both the charity and private sectors.

He was also briefly the youngest councillor in the country when he won a by-election in the London Borough of Sutton in 1999.
