Surfex
Surfex Building on the Success of 2018
The latest edition of Surfex held in May last year saw a new home for the exhibition and a new focus.
The move to the Ricoh Arena put Surfex in the heart of the UK and exhibitors at the centre of everything. The change of address allowed the exhibition to be central to all activities at Surfex with meeting rooms, seminar areas and workshop spaces all located within the same hall creating a close integration between content and exhibitor.
There was also a shift in focus to the science and technology that underpins the surface and coatings technology industry. The content was significantly modified to attract a higher number of technical attendees and encourage face-to-face business discussions where the emphasis was on technology.
More than 40% of the attendees were in a scientific or technical job role. Through the continued use of seminars, presentations and workshops Surfex 2020 will present products, equipment, science and technologies to even more technical attendees.
For the foreseeable future cutting-edge science, technology and technique will continue to “sell” products. Surfex 2018 was a sales opportunity with 87% of exhibitors surveyed reporting that they had sent further product technical or commercial information on to visitors.
And at Surfex 2020 scientists, product developers, engineers, marketing staff and management can get together with international suppliers and their technical experts to discuss the latest techniques, new ideas and innovative applications for existing, new and emerging products.
Over 540 metres have already been allocated for the next edition of this biennial event. Past exhibitors and qualifying companies secured a priority rate and had their pick of stand space as part of a booking day. View the full exhibitor list here.
