Wayne Smith is Director of Regulatory Affairs for the British Coatings Federation. The BCF is the sole trade association for the manufacturers of decorative coatings, printing inks, industrial coatings and wallcoverings, representing a £4 billion value industry and the interests of over 200 member companies. A chemist by training, Wayne worked in the industry for 12 years before joining the BCF. He has worked for the BCF for 28 years managing health, safety and environmental issues including chemicals legislation such as REACH and CLP. He has been heavily involved with the development of the CEPE/EuPIA SWEDs and SUMIs since their inception
