Wayne Harrison graduated with a BSc in Polymer Science & Technology from the Manchester Metropolitan University and a PhD from the School of Chemistry at the University of Manchester.  He started his scientific career as a Chemist at Conductive Inkjet Technology Ltd in Cambridge, before working as a formulations and coatings technologist for a major flooring company.  He then joined a textile company to develop a waterproof breathable textile coating. In July 2013 he returned to the University of Manchester to work on graphene based membranes and subsequently joined the GEIC as an Application Specialist in Membranes and Coatings.
