Rory Back, from Liverpool, UK, studied Chemistry at Durham from 2011-2014. He then joined NSG as a Technologist in the Thin Film Technology department, and was seconded to his current role in 2018 as the R&D Incubator & Value-Added-Products Technical Manager. Rory works within the R&D Incubator to develop new technologies, applications, and SME partnerships for glass. He is the author of multiple patents in thin-film coatings and glass technology. Rory is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, including the Surface Coatings Interest Group.
