Paul Sheppard is currently the Regulatory and Compliance Manager for HMG Paints Limited, and part of the Senior Management board of the largest independent industrial paint manufacturer in the UK. Paul has almost 30 years’ experience within the coatings industry and has worked in many technical roles during this time – colour management, quality assurance, health and safety, development, and laboratory management. Environmental and sustainability considerations affect our industry and the world at large so naturally interest in these subjects has intensified in recent years, therefore Paul has branched out and is now involved with providing environmental and sustainability solutions to serve the company and its customer base now and into the future, including delivering HMG Paint’s first solar installation.

Paul has always been an avid OCCA supporter and has worked at a local level as a Manchester Section Committee member, Secretary and Chairman, and more recently as Honorary Secretary and President. Paul’s Current position on OCCA Council is Immediate Past President, but he also now plays a major role in our exhibition as the Managing Director of Surfex.
