After studying chemistry, Nick gained a grounding in coatings technology as an industrial paints formulator.  He then transitioned to the raw materials side of the industry, specialising in technical service, technical marketing and technical sales.  Coatings additives have been a constant focus; Nick has held technical manager positions for Tego (Evonik) in both the UK and North America, as well as other roles involved with additives either directly or indirectly as a distributor.  He also spent several years as EMEA coatings technical service manager for minerals producer Imerys.  Nick has been looking after the UK coatings market for Synthron since 2018.
