Jon-Paul is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Oxford Advanced Surfaces Ltd. His research has led to the development of surface treatments, now branded as Onto™, that promote the adhesion of coatings, paints and adhesives to plastic, composite and other advanced materials.  He has led the team developing the Onto™ technology platform from University benchtop chemistry through to commercial product roll out.  Jon-Paul was awarded the Young Industrialist of the Year award in 2010 by the Royal Society of Chemistry for his dedication and tenacity in researching novel applications of carbene chemistry.
