Dr. Ulf Stalmach studied chemistry in Mainz, Germany, earning his Ph.D. in 1997. After a postdoctoral period in Groningen, NL, he started his coatings career in 2000, holding several positions in R&D, application engineering and procurement controlling.

He joined ORONTEC GmbH & Co. KG in 2019, taking care of projects for process optimization and –automation as well as digitalization in general in the Coatings Industry. Ulf is co-founder and Chairman of the Smart Paint Factory Alliance, an initiative to promote digitalization along the value-chain “coatings” holistically. Being an avid networker, he actively promotes networking within the coatings community.
