Dr. Fabian Sorce is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London in the Mechanics of Materials research group (Dept. of Mechanical Engineering). Fabian has experience in characterising a wide range of materials from high performance polymer coatings to sheet metals using a combination of experimental, numerical and analytical methods. Fabian’s current research involves developing representative testing strategies to characterise the material properties of low alloy ferritic steels used in high integrity applications. He attained a PhD and an MEng in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London. Fabian has also spent time working as a field engineer in Algeria, Abu Dhabi and Aberdeen, and as a strategy consultant in London.
