Aula is an experienced researcher and materials developer with over 11 years of experience at the University of Manchester, including 9 years in the Chemistry Department and 2 years at the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC). Her expertise spans advanced materials, nanotechnology, graphene-based formulations, coatings, membranes, composites, and material characterisation.

In her current role at GEIC, Aula works with multidisciplinary teams and industry partners to develop and commercialise next-generation nanomaterial-enhanced products. She has contributed to projects involving corrosion-resistant coatings, graphene-enhanced composites, nanomodified membranes for water treatment, polymer functionalisation, wearable-device inks, hydrogels, biopolymers, and bio-based materials.

She also has strong experience in scaling laboratory processes to full-scale manufacturing, supporting technology transfer, and implementing quality systems for industrial applications.
