Dr Chris Lowe has been the Manager of the Beckers’ Long Term Development Laboratory since 2008 after spending 16 years working as a Senior Chemist and Deputy Manager. Prior to that he worked for Crown and for May and Baker making drugs for cows. His interests range from the chemistries of radiation curing to conventional thermal curing, but his focus has always been trying to connect resin structure with final paint properties. Research projects funded by Beckers at many universities have focused on weathering, corrosion, adhesion and mechanical properties. The icing on the cake would be to relate monomer choice to performance on the coated panel.
