Head of Comms and External Stakeholder Engagement - Chemicals, Pesticides and Hazardous Waste

Alun Williams is the lead for External Stakeholder Engagement within the Chemicals, Pesticides and Hazardous Waste (CPHW) team at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). Alun’s role has primarily concentrated on ensuring UK businesses are aware of their obligations under UK. Alun has also worked on sector readiness and contingency within the CPHW team. Prior to joining the UK government, Alun worked for several years within the healthcare science industry, primarily on the accredited registration strategy implemented by NHS England and on an equivalence programme that supported Modernising Scientific Careers, with the aim of developing a sustainable workforce for the future of the NHS.
