Why do we have so much leftover decorative paint in the UK, and how much is currently recycled?  No one doubts that the current waste management system poorly serves this important resource, with 98% of it ending up in landfill or incineration. The British Coatings Federation members have set very challenging targets for increasing recycling rates from 2% to 70% by 2030, as part of BCF’s overall net zero commitment.

Steve will explain how BCF’s PaintCare programme will operate, to set up a national leftover paint collection and remanufacturing network across the UK.  This will allow DIY painters and professionals alike to have multiple ways to get their leftover paint recycled.
