Bentonite is well known for its rheological properties, specifically for its thixotropic behaviour in a liquid media.

When well exfoliated it can form nano-structures capable of reversibly modifying its matrix viscosity. Inorganic bentonite, through a chemical reaction, can be modified in order to transfer such properties to an organic media.

This presentation will give you an introduction to some bentonite properties, how the reaction works and a brief study to understand why we developed ARGIMEL X7 to avoid rust formation and why its anticorrosive properties are proportional to its purification process.
